Mistrustful means having a lack of trust or confidence in someone or something. It is the feeling of suspicion or doubt towards the intentions or reliability of a person or situation. A mistrustful person may be cautious, skeptical, or hesitant to believe or rely on others. This attitude can stem from past experiences of betrayal, deception, or disappointment. **

It's natural to have some level of mistrust in friendships, as it's important to protect oneself. However, if this mistrust is causing you to constantly doubt your friends' intentions or actions, it may be worth examining the root of this mistrust. It's also important to consider if your actions are negatively impacting your friendships. If you find that your mistrust is causing strain in your relationships, it may be helpful to work on building trust and open communication with your friends. **

To gain the trust of mistrustful individuals, it is important to be consistent, reliable, and honest in your interactions with them. Show empathy and understanding towards their concerns and take the time to listen to their perspective. Building a relationship based on mutual respect and demonstrating that you have their best interests at heart can help to gradually earn their trust over time. It is also important to follow through on your commitments and be transparent in your communication to show that you are trustworthy. **

It ultimately depends on your personal boundaries and how much you are willing to tolerate in a friendship. Engaging in a friendship with a mistrustful, narrow-minded person may require a lot of patience and understanding on your part. It's important to consider whether the potential benefits of the friendship outweigh the potential challenges. If you feel that you can handle the dynamics of the relationship and potentially help the person broaden their perspective, then it may be worth pursuing. However, if the negativity and narrow-mindedness of the person will have a negative impact on your own well-being, it may be best to reconsider the friendship. **
